A New Year of Peroni
The distributors of Peroni Nastro Azurro in Puerto Rico, CariAlma, commissioned a Holiday Greetings piece that said something about their newly-imported product. The piece consisted of a custom-made envelope that required the user to break it in a particular way to reveal its contents. In it, the recipient found four custom post cards, one with a message* for the recipient, and three for sending forward to friends, family and colleagues.
*The message reads as follows (translated from Spanish):
SHARING
During the Holidays and New Year Festivities, there is an Italian custom that consists in utilizing the seeds from a pine cone to create a hard candy called croccante. Crunchy and fresh, croccante is prepared in large sheets that are later broken down in smaller pieces to share amongst friends, family and neighbors.
This tradition reflects the spirit of the Holidays in a simple and encouraging way, and Peroni Nastro Azurro wishes to extend this message of joy to you from Puerto Rico. We didn’t make croccante, but you already broke the envelope, and all that’s left is for you to send the remaining pieces to your friends, family, neighbors and colleagues.
This year, send a message of joy and freshness.
This year, send Peroni Nastro Azurro.
